Answers and step-by-step fixes from the official Fisher & Paykel manual.
What does the fault code say?
- A1: Water supply fault. The dishwasher cannot get water. Check the water supply is turned on.
- A3: Drawer cannot drain. The drain hose or connection to the drain pipe may be blocked or kinked.
- A6: Spray arm or water pressure problem. The spray arm has come loose from its mounting, or water pressure is too low.
- A7: Too much foam in the drawer. The dishwasher has detected excess foam and is running an auto recovery program.
- A09: Sanitize temperature not reached. The sanitize cycle did not reach the temperature needed to sanitize the dishes.
- F (any F code): General fault. An F fault code can often be cleared by turning the dishwasher off and back on.
- Rinse aid indicator bright red: Rinse aid is low. A bright red glow or flash on the rinse aid indicator means it needs refilling.
- 0: Sanitize cycle successful. A 0 in the display after a sanitize wash means sanitizing was successful.
Common problems
The dishes are coming out dirty
- Is the wash program right for the load? An unsuitable wash program can leave dishes dirty. Pick the right program for how soiled the load is.
- Can the spray arm rotate freely? Items blocking the spray arm's path will stop it from reaching all the dishes.
- Is the drawer loaded correctly? Incorrect loading can block water from reaching all the dishes.
- Is the filter blocked? A blocked filter plate or drain filter reduces wash performance.
The dishwasher won't start
- Is the power supply connected? The dishwasher cannot start without power.
- Is the drawer closed firmly? The drawer must be closed properly for the wash to start.
- Is KEYLOCK or CHILDLOCK turned on? These features disable the buttons until turned off.
- Is the dishwasher stuck in Demo mode? If it's in Demo mode it will not run a normal wash.
Water is leaking
- Is the drain hose connected to the waste pipe? A disconnected drain hose will cause water to leak out.
- Is the water inlet hose connected correctly? Make sure the inlet hose is connected securely.
- Is the rinse aid dispenser plug closed properly? An improperly closed plug can let rinse aid leak and cause foaming.
- Is it leaking from somewhere else? For any other leak, turn off the water and power and call for service.
The drawer won't open
- Is CHILDLOCK turned on? CHILDLOCK locks the drawer closed until it is switched off.
- Has the closed drawer auto lock engaged? Press any button and open the drawer within 30 seconds.
