Answers and step-by-step fixes from the official Fisher & Paykel manual.

What does the display or indicator light show?

Common problems

The oven doesn't turn on

  1. Is there power to the oven? Check the wall switch is on, the fuse has not tripped, and there is no power outage in your area.
  2. Has the clock been set? The oven will not work at all until the clock has been set.

The oven light won't come on

  1. Has the clock been set? The oven, and its light, will not work until the clock is set.
  2. Has the light bulb blown? Replace the bulb using the care and cleaning instructions.

The oven isn't heating properly

  1. Are you opening the door too often during cooking? Opening the door often during cooking lets heat escape. Keep the door closed and open it as little as possible.
  2. Has the clock been set? The oven will not heat at all until the clock has been set.

The fan keeps running after I turn the oven off

  1. Did the fan turn back on a few minutes after you switched the oven off? This is normal. If the oven is still above a certain temperature the cooling fan comes on by itself to cool it down.
  2. Did you set a delayed start with automatic cooking? The fan running before the start time is normal. The oven itself will not heat up until the start time you set is reached.
