Weber Pulse 2000
Answers and step-by-step fixes from the official Weber manual.
Which light is flashing, or what does the display say?
- Red status indicator lights flashing: Barbecue is preheating. The red lights flash while the barbecue heats up to the set temperature.
- Red status indicator lights on, not flashing: Barbecue is at temperature. The lights stop flashing and stay lit once the set temperature is reached.
- Blue light flashing: Ready to pair with the app. A flashing blue light means the iGRILL feature is on and waiting to connect to your smart device.
- Blue light on, not flashing: Already paired to a device. A steady blue light means the barbecue is already paired with a smart device.
- Error code on display: Controller fault from power or signal interference. The temperature controller can be affected by variations in power supply or radio frequency.
Common problems
The barbecue won't turn on
- Is the temperature controller fully inserted? Remove it and push it straight back onto the mounting bracket.
- Is the socket supplying power? Check that the electrical outlet is working.
- Are the display and lights completely off? The built-in safety device may have cut power. Switch the red button off, wait, then switch it back on.
An error code shows on the display
- Turn the controller off Use the red power button to switch the controller off.
- Unplug and remove the controller Disconnect the power cable from the mains and take the controller off the barbecue.
- Wait, then reattach and plug back in Wait 30 seconds, push the controller fully back on, then plug in and switch on.
The app won't connect to the barbecue
- Is the blue light flashing? Turn Bluetooth on in your device's settings and keep the device close to the barbecue.
- Is the blue light on but not flashing? The barbecue is already paired to another device. Turn off Bluetooth on any device you don't want connected.
- Is the blue light off entirely? Power may have been cut by the safety device. Switch the red button off, wait, then switch it back on.
Food sticks or the barbecue heats unevenly
- Has cleaning been neglected? Low temperatures, uneven heat and sticking food all point to overdue cleaning.
- Has it been five cooks since the last deep clean? A thorough inside clean is recommended on this schedule, more often with heavy use.
- Are the cooking grates clean right now? Brush the grates right after preheating, while residue is easiest to remove.
