RYOBI 18v One+ OLM1833S

Answers and step-by-step fixes from the official Ryobi manual.

What does the indicator show?

Common problems

The mower won't start

  1. Is the isolator key inserted? The mower will not start at all without the isolator key fitted.
  2. Is the battery pack fully clicked in? Make sure the latch on each side of the battery pack has snapped in place and the pack is secured.
  3. Are you pressing the start button and trigger correctly? Press and hold the start button, then pull and hold either side of the on/off trigger.

The mower cuts out while mowing

  1. Is the battery pack too warm? An overheated battery stops powering the mower. Let it cool down before using it again.
  2. Still not working after it has cooled? If the mower still won't run, recharge the battery.

Clippings aren't collecting or discharging properly

  1. Is the grass wet? Wet grass sticks to the underside of the deck and stops proper collection or discharge, so don't mow wet grass.
  2. Is the grass catcher full? A full catcher left unemptied will block the discharge chute with cuttings.
  3. Is the discharge chute blocked? Carefully check and clear the discharge chute of any obstruction.

The mower vibrates abnormally

  1. Did the vibration start suddenly? Check the mower immediately whenever it starts to vibrate abnormally.
  2. Is the blade damaged? Inspect for damage, particularly to the blade, and replace or repair any damaged parts.
  3. Are any parts loose? Check for and tighten any loose parts before using the mower again.
